Dr Grażyna Korbecka - new researcher in the Department of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology

On 3 August 2010 dr Grażyna Korbecka joined the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute in Pulawy. She took on the role as a specialist within PROFICIENCY project.

Dr Grażyna Korbecka obtained her diploma in biology (1998) from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland and her PhD in plant ecology (2004) from Leiden University in Leiden, the Netherlands. In 2004-2007, she worked as a postdoctoral within EU funded project “Intrabiodiv” at the Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow. Then she received a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship to carry out a project on sexual system and genetic diversity of annual plants in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Oxford where she worked as a postdoctoral researcher until July 2010. Her current research interests include plant pathology, plant taxonomy and breeding.
