Dr Michael Link - new researcher in the Department of Soil Science and Land Protection

On 1 September 2010 dr Michael Link joined the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute at the position of a specialist in the Department of Soil Science and Land Protection.

Dr M. Link obtained his diploma in agriculture at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen (1995) and his Ph.D. (2002) at the same University. In the years 1995-2008 he was employed at this University as a scientific worker. His research work concentrated on the sustainable protection of biodiversity on agricultural areas and were granted by the German science-supporting organizations like Stiftung Hessischer Naturschutz and DAAD. In the years 2008-2010 he was a visiting professor at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences at the Institute of Landscape Architecture dealing with the problems of the effect of climate changes on the agricultural soil quality and land use, which is also a subject of his current research interest in the IUNG-PIB.
